Vicki Moreland's essays and short stories have appeared in Adoptive Families, Emrys Journal, and North Carolina Literary Review. Her essay "Vital Signs" appears in You Can Adopt!, published by Ballantine Books. In 2023, she was a Killer Nashville Claymore award finalist in the Southern Gothic category for her novel-in-progress Whiskey Woods.
Originally from Alabama, she enjoys calling North Carolina home and has written features about people and events in the Charlotte area. Her work has appeared in The Charlotte Observer, Today's Charlotte Woman, and Our State.
